How do I measure my room?

If your room is rectangular, then the area can be found by simply multiplying the length and width.

If your room is L-shaped, or has alcoves and/or bay windows, you will need to divide your room into separate smaller areas, and then add all of these parts together to come to your final quantity.

Browse our range of flooring products and enter your total surface area to find out how much you need to order.
Don’t forget to add at least 10% to your final quantity to allow for any wastage.

Regtangular rooms

A x B = Total area

e.g. 4m x 2.5m = 10m²

L-shaped rooms

(A x B) + (C x D) = Total area

e.g. (4m x 2.5m) + (1m x 2m) = 12m²

Rooms with alcoves or bay windows

(A x B) + (C x D) + (E x F)= Total area

e.g. (3m x 3m) + (1m x 1.5m) + (1.5m x 1.5m) = 12.75m²
